Laurens, South Carolina, the county seat of Laurens County, is located in the Upstate of SC and was named after Henry Laurens, president of the Continental Congress during the Revolutionary War. In 2005 Laurens was featured on The Learning Channel in its series "Town Haul." Projects from the show included an Amphitheater and Children's Park.
